As wished by my princess..

gulppp...first of all, i have to admit that i am a little nervous in posting this entry..if u guys remembered, i planned to bake my lil'princess cake wishlist..a carrot cake. hadoii, agak gementar jgk masa nk buat tu..berkali-kali baca resepi, as if i dont understand my own writings..hehe..it was quite challenging i can say..especially when it comes to grating the carrots..huaaaa..kalo la ada org nk tolong kan bagus..since my left hand is not 100% recovered, it was a hard task for me to grate the carrots..but, i mananged to finished it somehow. perghh! tercabut bahu..! 

pastu i pon godak2 la kek tu ikut sesuka hati i..ikut sesedap rasa i..hahaha..nak dijadikan cerita, tengah2 i pukul telur tu, boleh plak dengar bunyi yg mengerikan dari oven i..aikkk???jgn cari pasal oven oiii..aku ni nk membakar.. sudahnya dok sebok godek oven plak..bancuhan telur tu i tinggalkan mcm tu je..hahaha..lepas agak-agak dah puas hati, boleh lak i sambung pukul telur tu ye..so, i just crossed my finger, hoping that my cake would come out nice, at least. hahaha..memang stok pasrah giler lah! sambil tunggu kek terbakar, eh..dibakar, i pon nk wat cream cheese..hahaha..again, apa lah kena dgn si Anne ni?? i really thought that day, i read it right..ohhh..whatever, i thought i need 120gm of cream cheese but it was actually 250gm! so, berpuas hatilah dgn cream cheese yg ada, tk boleh nk complaint banyak2..huhuhu..

my sloppy carrot cake..

after like 1 hour, this is the the result..hahaha..sorry for the sloppiness..i dah mengantuk and a bit out of mood because of the cream cheese..anyway, mia and the rest of the people in the house did get to eat the carrot cake..but like i said, i am no carrot cake fan, so i have no idea of how a good carrot cake taste like..i did brought it to my office the next day and wallahh!! a great feedback fm my friends..(err..harap2 ikhlas lah ye!) hehee..so, here it is.. :)

errr..i guess i have to try it again in the near future..they said it was good, the taste, the texture, everything was just nice..tp betuii kaa?? hewhewhew.. :) until next time!

musim durian dah tiba!

bestnya!! musim durian dah tiba..i like durian very much, especially yang rasa lemak berkrim, macam susu..yumm yumm..mmg best lah..untung ayah aku ada dusun durian, kalau tak jenuh jugak nak membeli untuk peminat2 durian kat rumah ni! dusun kami ni boleh tahan la luasnya..tapi meninggi..sebab pokok2 duriannya ditanam di lereng bukit. macam-macam jenis pokok durian ada, tapi aku bukan kenal pun namanya, yang aku tau, orang kopek kulit, aku makan..hahahah..tapi apa yang lebih mengujakan, tahun ni dusun durian kami berbuah! wah..ada 'can' makan durian puas-puas..lagi best sebab boleh mandi-manda kat sungai..air segar dari gunung..nyamannn!

so, setelah berbincang2..kami pun pakat adik-beradik nak berkumpul hujung minggu lepas..apa lagi, agendanya, macam biasa, kalau geng "CHUK CHUK KENDONG CLAN" dah berjumpa..haruslah makan-makan, durian, mandi-manda, berendam, gossip, makan lagi, berendam lagi..aaaa...camtu la..sampai kecot! hahaha..so, berkumpul la kitaorang semua kat dusun tu, ramai la jugak, campur mak bapak, anak2, cucu bagai..ada la dekat 50 orang..semua adik-beradik kecuali abang sulung aku je tak de sebab jauh kat jakarta nun..kalau tak, memang cukup la the eight siblings. memang riuh-rendah dalam hutan tu..aku ingat monyet2 kt hutan tu pon culture shock la tengok kitaorang..hahaha..kompom semua menyorok tak nak keluar sarang..

aii..masamnya muka kimy, not in mood eh?

kat dusun ni, abang-abang aku bina la pondok dari buluh..nasib baik luas dan tegap..kalau tak tegap..alamat roboh le..udah le makan tak berenti, gelak pun sampai gegau2..kompom pondok ni boleh terbalik! aisehh..baru perasan, tak de gambar durian ye tak?

dulu masa kecik-kecik, aku rasa sungai kat dusun ni macam besar sangat, air pun deras..tapi sekarang awat aku rasa macam dah tinggal anak sungai je? pastu batu2 semakin membesar..ke sebab dulu aku kecik, sekarang aku dah besar? eh..ke sungai ni yang dah kecik? few years back, memang ada diaorang buat pembalakan kat hulu sungai nun..sayang betul..masa tu, air sungai pun jadi tak jernih..keruh dengan air tanah merah..hurmmm, apa cara nk preserve tempat ni ye?

anyway, we had a great quality time together..bukan senang nak berkumpul adik-beradik, anak-beranak nih. tambahan sekarang semuanya dah besar2, dah bekerja, dah ada keluarga.. tapi, syukur alhamdulillah, my family memang ada close bond. memang tak boleh nak dipisahkan. memang sangat bernilai sangat bagi aku..well, thank you to all who had joined the durian party..hope our dusun will be productive next year, so we can be reunited here..!

baking time..

hello..it's been a while since i last jotted something in here..been quite buzy with i dunno what..hehehe..now i have this new hobby, (well, actually it has always been my hobby, but only lately i managed to make myself occupied with it) baking! feel so happy if i cud bake, feel extra happy when i look at them enjoying my baking.. :) tak kira la sedap ke tak kan...hehehe..i wud bake at night and wud packed some of it to take to the office. kiranya bebudak kt opis ni dah jadi cam bahan ujikaji i..hahaha..jadi tukang rasa kek yg i buat..kat rumah plak, my lil' princess tukang oder la..mcm2 kek dia nak..mcm la mama dia ni terer sangat! hahaha..jadilah ye sayang..at least i tried! :)

the first project was to bake a steamed chocolate cake..haaa..yang ni came out right..gebu jek..lembut jek..the second project was the marble cake..yang ni lagi teruk, i forgot to snap the picture, tau2 dah tinggal seciput..so, next time je lah ye!

then i tried an orange cake..it came out..errr..i dunno la..look ok, taste ok..but, after it cooled, mcm a bit padat plak..and i was thinking..apa salahnya ye?? then i started to check on my ingredients..AHA!! now i know why..hahahaha..alahaiiii..this really teached me a lesson..it turned out that my baking powder was already expired!! belum la lama sangat, tapi..padan muka kek BANTAT!! muahahaha..gelakkan diri sendiri ye..

so, tak lengah2 dah..i got myself a BIG can of baking powder with a longer expiry date! :) and the result was much better..testimoni dari budak2 kt rumah: emmmm..tk sempat tunggu sejuk, abis dah!! kalau tanya mr hb baby plak, jawapan dia sama je.."sedapppp.." cehhhh..entah betul ke tidak!

and yesterday, my lil'princess was ready with a wishlist of the cake she had in mind..CARROT CAKE! alamak..pompuan kecik ni memang suka carrot..nasi carrot la..bubur carrot la..and me, definitely not a fan of carrot cake even i DO eat carrot..how wud i know the best texture and taste of a carrot cake? camne yg sedap? emmmm..i wud definitely give it a try, but who wud to judge it for me? i need a critic on my baking..yg ada ni tk boleh pakai..semua pon sedap!! hahaha..

boleh ke jadi rupa cenggini nanti?jeng..jeng..jeng..

unfortunately, my left hand is not cooperating with me..i guess this SLE is taking its toll on me..takkan la pasal baking kottt...haishhh..with bad joints pain, how am i going to bake? dalam hati tengah bersemangat nih, badan plak buat hal..sabar je la..hope it will recover soon, so i can start with my carrot cake project! wish me luck frens..!
